Knights
Victis Honor Vi et Armis - Honour to the vanquished By force and arms

This is how I did them.
Draw your design out as big as possible (this is an A4 piece of paper). It will make it easier to add detail. I first done it in pencil and then went over it with ink. Ink lines will stand out better once the banner is reduced in size. If you want the same design on both sides you will only need to draw one side.
Now using the same colour paint as I painted my lord I started to fill in the shapes. I went for a shade, mid tone and highlight for each colour.
I took lots of colour photocopies of each stage because I kept spilling water onto them. This is also the stage were the peasants standards would branch off on a different route to that of the Knights.
More shapes filed in with colour and again take more copies just in case you stuff it up later.
Now the mini Fleur-de-lye are painted within each diamond shape. I used an even lighter colour then the diamond they were going in. I wanted them to be just faintly visible. I also added the individual picture for each unit. (Again draw it in pencil then go over it with ink)
Next up is painting the individual emblem-ems of each flag.
After that its a case of scanning the image and adding any text you want. reducing it in size and your done.
